To celebrate and honor those who served in the United States Armed Forces, State Senator Elgie R. Sims, Jr. will partner with Cook County Commissioner Stanley Moore and Alderwoman Michelle A. Harris to host a Veterans Day luncheon.
“Our veterans put everything on the line to serve this country, and this luncheon is a chance to celebrate their dedication, courage and sacrifice,” said Sims (D-Chicago). “I encourage all veterans and military families in the area to join us for this special meal.”
The luncheon will take place Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Imani Village, located at 901 E. 95th St. in Chicago. Free meals will be provided for veterans and their families.
